Every Wednesday we host the Fathers Mauri Ora Circle and Wednesday, 12th December is our last session for the year. We will have a BBQ for all our families to celebrate a year of helping each other, building great relationships, as well as strengthening relationships between dads and their kids. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help plan, organise, invite people to the event via facebook, email, text and social media, attract or find a few gifts/presents/visitors to attend and help on the day/evening. You may also be required to help with cooking (BBQ) or help design healthy food if you have knowledge in that area.

We provide a list of key agencies and clients to call and help you with a script. Expenses will be reimbursed and training will be held at the Community Office.

Requirements:

We would love to hear from you are if you can talk to agencies and dads about the event, be positive, take notes and messages. You need to be comfortable using a computer and using facebook, Meetup, LinkedIn, etc to promote the event.

Time commitment:

A few days prior to the event to help with planning and drawing up a task list. Then mainly on the day at the event.

Note: The Volunteering Auckland offices will be closed from 21 December until 14 January. You are welcome to apply for volunteer roles during this time, however we will be unable to respond until after the holiday period. In the meantime, please see our Holiday Volunteering article.
