Eye on Nature Assistant

Eye on Nature is an award-winning environmental education event held annually at the Auckland Botanic Gardens. We are looking for a great volunteer team to help engage our visitors, both children and adults, in the range of activities at the event. We would like you to help us, as needed, during the event as we engage children and adults. It may be letting them know the programme timetable for the day, gathering their feedback, entering them in the raffles, or showing them where the games are, or playing them with them.

This is a free event promoting environmentally sustainable practices; our ambition is to see our children become guardians of their living environment. You will meet a range of interesting people, possibly assist at one of the stalls of all of our environmental programme partners, help out with the main stage events, go on a forest walk. It is a varied and fun day!

The volunteer will need to be a reliable team player, with great initiative and a warm manner.
