Activity Leaders
Girl Guiding New Zealand is developing a new programme to reach girls who are currently on a waitlist to join a Guiding Unit or who are not yet involved in a Guiding unit. Our exciting new programme allows girls to experience conservation, outdoor exploration and creative activities while they wait to join their local group. This presents an amazing opportunity for volunteers who are looking for a way to support their community on a more casual basis. Simply put, you help when it suits you.
Our Volunteer Activity Leaders will help to deliver exciting and engaging activities and events that help inspire and empower the next generation of girls and young women. Volunteering with us means you can put your unique talents to good use as well as develop your own leadership skills. You’ll be given the help, support and training you need to do the job, plus it looks great on your CV!
An interest in being involved in your local community and a passion for inspiring, motivating and empowering young women to be the best they can. We want to see our volunteers get stuck into the exciting activities the girls are taking part in and having fun!
As the role involves working with young people a Police Check is required.
Your commitment can be as little as a few hours on weekends or school holidays, or on a more regular basis. We will ask you to provide us with your availability in advance in order to ensure that our activities are well planned and run smoothly.
