Coffee Group Coordinator and/or Playgroup Helper

As Coordinator for our Sandringham Plunket Coffee group you will help coordinate and arranging for our new mums with babies from 0 to 9 months to meet up at the Plunket Clinic or café, open up the clinic, collecting donations, and hosting the initial meetings. Keeping the group connected will involve phone calls, email and more importantly using Facebook.

The purpose of the role is to bring parents and caregivers together giving them a chance to meet up in a welcoming and safe environment. These groups help to reduce loneliness and isolation in the community, offer peer support and for families to learn what services are available in their community.

The Coffee group meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month during school term. The Playgroup helper role is on Wednesday. You can do either of these roles.

Requirements:

The ideal person will be friendly, outgoing, and have good communication skills. You will need Internet access and be confident on social media.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Some of the work can be done from home with the role taking 2 to 3 hours of your time per week. Training will include: Welcome to Plunket and Health and Safety and the role requires an ongoing commitment.
