Morning Tea Helpers

Volunteering for Morning Tea at Elizabeth Knox is as unique as the individual volunteering, allowing for an organic nature to the relationships formed with residents. Each volunteer has something distinctive to offer. In your role you will help to serve morning tea that includes tea/coffee and sandwiches to approximately 30 residents, while talking with them and getting to know them. This allows for beautiful moments to occur, such as spontaneously walking down the road one sunny afternoon for an ice cream. These small moments, linked together, are the basis for long term friendships. The understanding of this is what makes volunteering at Knox truly special and your special skills and capabilities will be celebrated in a way that is meaningful to both yourself and our residents.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm, punctuality, and feel passionate about meeting new people.
Volunteers will need to complete a one time 2 hour orientation before their first volunteer shift.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We are ideally looking for an ongoing commitment but do not have a minimum time requirement to become a volunteer. However, if you join our volunteer team, you will be asked to choose a commitment level (Weekly/fortnightly/monthly).
