Volunteering Auckland is a charitable trust dedicated to the promotion and support of volunteering within the greater Auckland region.
We provide an important link between individuals wishing to volunteer and “not for profit” [NFP] organisations that engage volunteers as a means of service delivery in the Auckland region.
We have approx 400 NFP members (both large and small) who recruit, support and mobilise volunteers for the delivery of services in the welfare, health, arts, sport, environment, conservation, education and community sectors. Our service includes the supply of information, training and advisory services for NFP’s and community groups.
We also provide a recruitment and referral service for individuals and groups wishing to volunteer. To our knowledge we are the only organisation with the sole focus of volunteering in the Auckland region.
We believe a truly successful city requires an active involved citizenship participating in the community through activities such as volunteering.
