Currently working for the Waitemata District Health Board as a co-ordinator of Volunteers for the Volunteer Stroke Scheme. Work background has been in the health field working in Australia for various Disability Services. Previously a Board member, Volunteering Victoria, Melbourne [Trustee]. Was Chair of Disabled person’s council in Victoria, voluntary probation officer and many other voluntary positions. Currently Chair and Trustee of Volunteering Auckland, a board member of Volunteering New Zealand [VNZ] and a member of the VNZ Maori/Pacific Advisory Group.

Managing Director of RAPP NZ, a communications agency specialising in relationship marketing. Prior to his appointment at Volunteering Auckland Rob was Chair person and trustee for Volunteer Wellington, where he worked for 8 years. Rob specialises in donor based and has worked with Oxfam , Barnardos and CCS to grow donor commitment and increase funding.

After moving to New Zealand from the UK in 2004, Pete has worked for Telecom NZ in a number of management positions in the corporate security and networking arena. His most recent role is with Auckland City Council as a Senior IT Operations Managers responsible for all aspects of supporting and maintaining the Council’s IT infrastructure. He has recently completed a post graduate course in Business Management through the University of Waikato.

Kit Howden [June 2003 to current]
Kit has a Masters of Science with a post graduate qualification in ethics. His background is in parks, conservation and volunteer management. After working 30 years in local government parks Kit has spent the last 10 years working in the voluntary sector as well as looking after family property. He leads the Friends of Maungawhau - an active community group involved in ecological restoration, pedestrian access and protecting the volcanic landscape heritage in greater Auckland. He has also been active in the management of Mutukaroa, Hamlins Hill and other parks and helps other groups such as Walk Auckland so that urban populations can access green space. He is a member of EDeN, an Amnesty International network connecting human rights and the environment. In Nov 2009 he represented NZ at the 6th World Ranger Congress in Bolivia as part of his support for a more professional park ranger service in NZ. Kit is committed to the “volunteer society” and is on the trust board of Volunteering Auckland.
Paul Hutchinson [September 2007 to current]
Currently working as a partner specialising in small business accounting solutions for CAD Partners. Paul has previously worked as CEO for the NZ branch of a book publishing multi-national, as Finance Director for various corporates and as an investor and manager in a range of small businesses.
Kate Ashcroft [November 2008 to current]
Currently works as an Employment Lawyer for Hesketh Henry. She previously worked with a boutique employment law firm in Auckland and before that, a large Waikato firm. Also worked in corporate human resources with a public sector employer in Australia and is a member of the Auckland District Law Society Employment Law Committee.
Catherine Mitchell [April 2009 to current]
Currently National Operations Manager of Alliance Catering (part of the Spotless Group), holds a Masters of Management from University of Technology Sydney; is a member of Corporate Business Women’s Network Auckland. Volunteer and charity involvement includes wish granting for Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia; SPCA volunteer supervisor (Auckland); board member and committee chair Zonta International Auckland; raising funds for disadvantaged children in Kenya and Nepal by climbing Kilimanjaro and hiking to Everest base Camp with Wellington based Global Volunteer Network.
Denis Orme [December 2009 to current]
During the past twenty years in the USA, as Performance Leader of the Leadership Success Institute, Inc., he has been heavily recruited by startup businesses through to Fortune 500 companies to analyze operations, develop and implement change management strategies, and return organizations to sustainable profitable long-term growth.
Nick Scott [March 2010 to current] - not pictured
Nick is a Senior Manager for Commercial and Corporate Relationships at BNZ. Nick and his wife have returned home to Auckland recently after a stint in London. Nick's previous volunteer work includes “bits and bobs” in conservation, disabilities and aged care. Nick sees opportunities for volunteering to connect people to communities and provide resources at the same time.
